Hikaya is both a publishing house and a cultural association dedicated to fostering connections and promoting authors from around the world. Its flagship initiative is Confluences, an online festival designed to bring diverse voices together.

The name of the festival is inspired by the famous Lyon district where the Saône meets the Rhône—a symbol of unity and sharing despite different origins. It is this spirit of unity in diversity that we celebrate during the festival.

From the end of August to mid-October, Hikaya will host the second edition of the festival in partnership with Lyon’s Salon des Intergalactiques.

Streamed online and then available for replay on YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, and various podcast platforms, Confluences brings together authors, editors, publishing professionals, and fans of speculative fiction from around the world to share their experiences. All sessions will be held in English.
